Save the date: Toastmasters World Championship Finals: Live Streaming!

This year, our world champion contestant Simon Scriver has made it to Washington to participate in the World Public Speaking Championship! Join us to celebrate this fantastic achievement and cheer on Simon in the World Public Speaking Championship District 71 Semi-Final. The championship will be streamed on Thursday, 18 August 2016 from 18:30 to 22:00 and Saturday, 20 August 2016 from 13:00 to 17:00 in the Buswells Hotel (27 Molesworth St, Dublin 2). Please come along and join us to find out who will become the 2016 World Public Speaking Champion!

Thinking of continuing developing your public speaking skills during the summer break?

Our sister clubs Uncensored and Society Toastmasters will continue with their meetings during the summer and they will be very happy to welcome all members and guests. *Society Toastmasters* are meeting the second and the fourth Thursday of the month (14th & 28th July and 11th & 25th August) in The Chartered Accountants House, 47 Pears Street, Dublin 2 from 7.00pm to 9.00pm.

Summer is here now and 2 weeks left til our summer break!

Dublin Toastmasters - Don't miss the opportunity to experience Dublin Toastmasters before we finish up for our summer break on Thursday 16th June 2016 and we will be back to normal in September 2016. If you would like to find out more about Toastmasters then come along tomorrow Thursday 9th June 10 minutes before 7.45pm at the ‪Buswells Hotel. All guests are very welcome to attend. Guests’ admission fee is just €5 for the night. No prior registration or booking is required. We look forward to seeing all of you!

Congratulations to our 2016 winner D71 International Speech Contest, Simon Scriver!!

A big congratulations to our Dublin Toastmasters Simon Scriver!! who won the International Speech Contest, at The D71 Conference in Limerick today. Next stop is the Toastmasters World Championship of Public Speaking in Washington, D.C, in August 2016. Well done Simon!!

Best of luck to Simon Scriver who is going to represent our Dublin Toastmasters club at the International Speech Contest, to be held on Saturday afternoon, May 14th 2016 at The D71 Limerick Riverside Conference, Strand Hotel, Limerick City. Elaine Gallagher will also deliver during this event the workshop “Fantastic Feedback” on Saturday 14th May.

Simon Scriver won with his speech titled “Nuggets of Gold” the first place at the Division M International Speech Contest at the Red Cow Moran Hotel yesterday 10th April 2016. Well done Simone!! Here a photo of the winner :-)

 

International Speech Contest and Evaluation Contest 25th February 2016

Save the date!

Dublin Toastmasters Club will be having its International Speech Contest and Evaluation Contest 2016. 
Speech contests are a fundamental part of the Toastmasters educational programme. They provide a fantastic opportunity for Toastmasters to gain public speaking experience, as well as an opportunity to learn from proficient speakers. Please come along and support our amazing contestants who will be competing to progress towards area level contests.
All members and guests are very welcome to attend. We look forward to seeing all of you there!

4th February 2016 - Toastmasters joint meeting!

Save the date! Dublin Toastmasters joint meeting on the 4th February 2016! The Dublin club and the Eblana club will be having a joint meeting, it will be held at 17 Molesworth Street, Dublin 2 at our usual time of 7.45pm. People learn more in moments of enjoyment - so come along and enjoy the meeting while you learn presentation skills, listening skills, how to both give and take constructive evaluation and answer a table topic or two! Visitors and new members are always welcome to join us, no prior registration is required. TIME: 7.45pm to 9.45pm.

Our first meeting after the Christmas break is this Thursday 7th January 2016

We hope all of you had a nice relaxing time over Christmas and the New Year. We will be back for our first meeting after the Christmas break this Thursday 7th January 2016 from 7:45pm. All guests are very welcome to attend. Guests’ admission fee is just €5 for the night. Just show up on the night and sign in at the door. No prior registration or booking is required.
